프랑스 뇌이쉬르센, 1년에 한 번 열리는 불꽃축제
한적한 호수 뒤편에 사는 근성 있는 두 목수 형제의 이야기
수 개월간 축제를 준비해온 두 목수는 오늘도 성실하다
온 마을이 기대하는 불꽃 축제를 앞둔 며칠 전
별안간 들이닥친 비바람에 모든 것이 헛수고가 되었고
모든게 망가져버린 마을, 두 형제는 근심을 접고 다시 일 한다
과연 이들은 불꽃 축제 준비를 제시간에 맞출 수 있을까?

녹초가 된 형제는 겨우겨우 시간에 맞춰 준비를 끝냈다.
어둠이 내린 하늘에 퍼지는 밝고 화려한 불꽃과 사람들의 함성
(드르릉, 쿨….)
형형색색 밝게 불태우는 빛과 펑펑 터지는 굉음 사이로
두 형제는 곤히 잠들어 있다.
